Lights
- Power Light (when charging): slowly flashing red means charging; solid red means fully charged.

Turning On & Off
- To turn on: press and release the Power button. The Power Light turns red for 3 seconds then off, and the Bluetooth Light turns blue.
- To turn off: press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds; the Bluetooth Light turns off.
- Flashing blue means the speaker is in pairing mode; solid blue means your device has connected and it is ready to play.
Pairing & Connecting
The OontZ Angle 3 ULTRA can be connected to one device at a time and will automatically reconnect to the last device it was connected with when turned on and in range.
- On your device, go to Settings > Bluetooth and make sure Bluetooth is on.
- Select 'OontZ Angle 3U SS xxx' under DEVICES (xxx is 3 characters unique to your speaker).
- The Bluetooth Light turns solid blue, a quiet chime plays, and you can play audio wirelessly.
To pair a different device, first disconnect the current one by holding the Bluetooth button for 3 seconds until the Bluetooth Light flashes blue.
Your device must be within 100 unobstructed feet; move closer if you have trouble connecting. A flashing red light (low charge) prevents connection.
Amazon Echo devices do not auto-reconnect; pair via the Alexa app, then say 'Alexa, connect my speaker' to reconnect.
AUX / 3.5mm Audio Cable
To play with non-Bluetooth devices, use the included 3.5mm stereo audio cable.
- Plug one end into the AUX IN jack on the speaker; the Bluetooth Light turns solid green.
- Plug the other end into the headphone jack on your device, fully inserting both ends.
Important: Bluetooth is disabled while the 3.5mm cable is connected. Remove the cable to use Bluetooth.
Note: The rubber flap must be closed before exposing the speaker to water; it is not water resistant or waterproof when the flap is open.
Battery & Charging
The rechargeable battery ships with a partial charge so the speaker is ready to play. For maximum playtime, fully charge it. You can play while charging.
- Insert the small end of the USB Type-C cable into the speaker's charging connector.
- Insert the larger end into a UL-listed USB wall charger (5V, 3A max).
- Up to 7 hours to fully charge a low battery.
- When charge drops below 15%, the Power Button Light flashes red rapidly and volume decreases to preserve charge.
On battery power, the speaker turns off after 30 minutes of no audio. When plugged into a charging source it stays on until you power it off. (Exception: Amazon Echo devices disable the power-saving feature.)
Important: When plugged into a charging source with the USB Type-C cable, never use the speaker in the shower, bath, or near water, to prevent risk of electric shock.
Waterproofing (IPX7)
The OontZ Angle 3 ULTRA is IPX7 certified waterproof.
- It can handle water spray and splashes and can be partially or fully submerged up to 3 feet deep for up to 30 minutes.
- The rubber flap must be closed for the speaker to be waterproof and dustproof.
Perfect for the lake, beach, pool, or shower.
Safety: When plugged into a charging source with the USB Type-C cable, never use the speaker in the shower, bath, or near water, to prevent risk of electric shock.
Speakerphone & Siri
The hands-free speakerphone feature works over Bluetooth with smartphones and iPhones only; it is not supported with other device types.
- To answer or end a call: press and release the Bluetooth button.
- To reject an incoming call: press and hold the Bluetooth button for 2 seconds.
- Keep the speaker close in front of you so you can be heard clearly.
- When two speakers are paired in Dual Speaker Mode or Surround Mode, calls come through the Host Speaker.
Talk to Siri (works when connected to an iPhone or iPad over Bluetooth):
- Press and release the Power button once; the Bluetooth Light turns green and flashes 3 times.
- Wait about two seconds until you hear a chime, then speak your request into the mic. Siri's response plays through the speaker. Your iPhone or iPad must be on the latest version of iOS.
Dual Mode (Two Speakers)
With a second OontZ Angle 3 ULTRA (4th Gen) you can play music wirelessly through both speakers up to 100 feet apart. Note: The 4th Generation is NOT compatible with previous generations of the OontZ Angle 3 ULTRA.
- Turn on both speakers and connect one to your device (solid blue); this becomes the Host Speaker.
- The second speaker must not be connected to any device; its Bluetooth Light must be flashing. If solid blue, disconnect it by holding the Bluetooth button for 3 seconds.
- On the Host Speaker, hold the Play/Pause button for 3 seconds until the light above it flashes white and it says 'Dual Pairing'.
- After a few seconds both lights turn solid white; the Host says 'Left Channel' and the second speaker says 'Right Channel'.
Dual Stereo: To play full stereo from both speakers in different areas, with the speakers connected for Left Channel - Right Channel, press and hold the Track Forward button on the Host Speaker for 3 seconds until both say 'Dual Stereo'. Hold Track Forward again for 3 seconds to return to Left/Right channels.
Use the Host Speaker's buttons and Bluetooth/AUX connection; these are disabled on the second speaker. Speakerphone audio plays only through the Host Speaker.
To play video audio in sync, connect the Host Speaker to your device or TV with the 3.5mm cable (Bluetooth introduces a delay), or use the OontZ Bluetooth Adapter (2nd Gen, sold separately) for low-latency playback.
To disconnect the two speakers, with both on, hold the Play/Pause button on the Host Speaker for 3 seconds.
Surround Mode (2, 3, or 4 Speakers)
Connect 2, 3, or 4 OontZ Angle 3 ULTRA (4th Gen) speakers, each playing full stereo, up to 100 feet apart. The 4th Generation is NOT compatible with previous generations.
- Turn on one speaker and connect it to your device, or connect a 3.5mm audio cable to its AUX IN. Its Bluetooth Light lights solid blue (or green for AUX). This is the Host Speaker.
- Turn on the other speakers (the Guest Speakers). Each Guest Speaker's light must be flashing; if solid blue, hold the Bluetooth button for 3 seconds to disconnect.
- On the Host Speaker, press and release the Bluetooth button; the light above the Play/Pause button turns solid orange and it says 'Surround Mode Transmit'.
- On each Guest Speaker (flashing blue), press and release the Bluetooth button; the light flashes orange and it says 'Surround Mode Receive'. After a few seconds each connects and the light turns solid orange.
Use the Host Speaker's buttons and Bluetooth/AUX connection; these are disabled on the Guest Speakers. Speakerphone audio plays only through the Host Speaker.
To disconnect a single Guest Speaker, press and release its Bluetooth button. To disconnect all, turn off or press the Bluetooth button on the Host Speaker.
