The Source button switches between AUX In and Bluetooth.
Track Back and Track Forward skip between tracks.
- Volume Up and Volume Down adjust the speaker volume
- Built-in mic is used with Siri
Important: The volume control on your device and on the speaker work independently. For the loudest output, set both to maximum. Some apps may not support track back, forward, or play/pause.
Lights
Power button light (when charging):
- Slowly flashing red: battery is charging
- Solid red: battery is fully charged
- Rapidly flashing red: battery charge is low
Bluetooth button light (when speaker is on):
- Flashing: in Bluetooth pairing mode
- Solid blue: connected to a Bluetooth device
Source button light: lit green when AUX In is the selected audio source.
Play/Pause button light: white in Dual Mode, orange in Surround Mode, and green when connected to the OontZ app on a single speaker (flashes green every 5 seconds on the Host speaker when in Dual or Surround Mode with the app).
Connectors
The AUX IN jack and USB Type-C charging connector are located under a rubber flap. Pull the tab from the top (a snug fit as part of the waterproofing) to access them.
To close the flap, align it over the connector bay and push it straight in until the edges are even.
A USB power bank can keep your iPhone/smartphone charged while playing or power an Echo Input (output 5V/1A).
Important: The rubber flap must be closed before exposing the speaker to water; it is not waterproof when the flap is open.
Turning On & Off
To turn on: press and release the Power button. The Power light turns red for 3 seconds then off, and the Bluetooth light turns blue.
To turn off: press and hold the Power button for 2 seconds until the Bluetooth light turns off.
Battery & Charging
The rechargeable battery comes partially charged and is ready to play. For maximum playtime, fully charge it. You can play while charging.
Insert the small end of the USB Type-C cable into the charging connector and the larger end into a UL-listed 5V/3A maximum USB wall charger. A low battery takes up to 3 hours to fully charge.
Power Saving Feature: On battery power, the speaker turns off after 30 minutes of no audio. When plugged into a charging source it stays on until you turn it off.
When the battery drops below 20%, the Power light flashes red rapidly, the USB power bank turns off, and the volume decreases.
Note: Certain devices (including Amazon Echo Input, Echo Dot, and Echo) disable the Power Saving Feature.
Important: When plugged in to charge, never use the speaker in the shower, bath, or near water to prevent risk of electric shock.
Pairing & Connecting
Turn on the speaker. Flashing blue means it is ready to pair; solid blue means a device is connected.
On your device, go to Settings > Bluetooth, ensure Bluetooth is on, and select 'OontZ Angle 3 Pro SS xxx' (xxx is 3 characters unique to your speaker). A quiet chime confirms connection.
The speaker connects to one device at a time and lets the last device reconnect automatically when in range. To switch devices, press and hold the Bluetooth button for 3 seconds to disconnect, then pair the new device.
Your device must be within 100 unobstructed feet. For Amazon Echo, first-time pairing uses the Alexa app; reconnect by saying 'Alexa, connect my speaker'.

Hands-Free Speakerphone & Siri
To talk to Siri, press and release the Power button. The Source light flashes green 3 times; wait about two seconds for a chime, then speak into the mic. Your iPhone or iPad must run the latest iOS.
The wireless hands-free speakerphone works over Bluetooth with iPhones and smartphones only.
- Answer or end a call: press and release the Bluetooth button
- Keep the speaker close in front of you to be heard clearly
Using a 3.5mm Audio Cable
Plug one end of the included 3.5mm stereo audio cable into the AUX IN jack and the other into your device's headphone jack, then press the Source button until its light is solid green.
Make sure both ends are fully inserted.
Important: Bluetooth is disabled when the Source button is set to AUX. Press the Source button again to switch back to Bluetooth, and the last connected device reconnects automatically when in range.
Dual Mode (Two Speakers)
Connect two OontZ Angle 3 Pro speakers for Left Channel - Right Channel stereo separation, or Dual Stereo for full stereo in separate areas, up to 100 feet apart.
Turn on both speakers and pair one with your device to make it the Host (solid blue light). The second speaker must be unconnected with a flashing light.
On the Host, press and hold Play/Pause for 3 seconds until it flashes white and says 'Dual Pairing'. Both lights then turn solid white; the Host says 'Left Channel' and the second says 'Right Channel'.
To switch to Dual Stereo, press and hold Track Forward on the Host for 3 seconds until both say 'Dual Stereo'. Press and hold Track Forward again to return to Left/Right Channel.
Use the Host Speaker for all controls and source selection; these are disabled on the second speaker. To disconnect, press and hold Play/Pause on the Host for 3 seconds.
Note: The 2nd Generation Pro is not compatible with previous Pro generations.
Surround Mode (2, 3 or 4 Speakers)
Connect 2, 3, or 4 OontZ Angle 3 Pro speakers to play together up to 100 feet apart in full stereo.
Connect one speaker to your device or AUX In to make it the Host. Guest speakers must be unconnected with flashing blue lights.
On the Host, press and release the Bluetooth button; the Play/Pause light turns solid orange and it says 'Surround Mode Transmit'. On each Guest, press and release the Bluetooth button; the light flashes orange ('Surround Mode Receive') then turns solid orange when connected.
Turning off the Host turns off all speakers. To disconnect a single Guest, press and release its Bluetooth button.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I put the speaker in pairing mode?
Turn on the speaker; the Bluetooth light flashes blue to indicate pairing mode. Select 'OontZ Angle 3 Pro SS xxx' in your device's Bluetooth settings. If a device is already connected, press and hold the Bluetooth button for 3 seconds first to disconnect it.
How long does the battery last and how fast does it charge?
The battery plays up to 15 hours at 2/3 volume on a full charge. A low battery fully charges in up to 3 hours using a UL-listed 5V/3A USB wall charger. Using the USB power bank feature reduces playtime.
What does the OontZ app do?
The app lets you adjust EQ (treble and bass), control volume, switch the audio source between Bluetooth and AUX In, and connect, disconnect, and manage speakers in Dual Mode and Surround Mode. It also provides firmware updates and support.
What do the Play/Pause light colors mean?
White means the speaker is in Dual Mode, orange means Surround Mode, and solid green means it is connected to the OontZ app. The Host speaker flashes green every 5 seconds when in Dual or Surround Mode with the app.
How do I connect two speakers for stereo?
Turn on both speakers and pair one (the Host) with your device. With the second speaker's light flashing, press and hold Play/Pause on the Host for 3 seconds until you hear 'Dual Pairing'. The Host becomes the left channel and the second becomes the right channel. You can also connect them using the OontZ app.
Can I use the speaker in water?
Yes. It is IPX7 certified and can handle splashes or submersion up to 3 feet deep for up to 30 minutes, provided the rubber flap is closed. Never use it near water while it is plugged in to charge.
How do I play TV or video audio without lip-sync delay?
Connect the Host speaker to your device or TV with the 3.5mm stereo audio cable so audio and video stay in sync. A Bluetooth connection will introduce a delay; the OontZ Bluetooth Adapter (2nd Gen) with low-latency technology can remove this delay.
How do I reset the speaker?
Remove any charging or audio cables. With the speaker on, press the Power button and Volume + together and release; the speaker turns off. It is now reset and you can turn it back on.
How do I switch between Bluetooth and AUX input?
Press the Source button to switch to AUX In (Source light turns green); press it again to return to Bluetooth, which reconnects the last connected device automatically when it is in range. You can also change the source in the OontZ app.
